As mentioned in the chair review, this year Norfolk would like to recognise an individual who had instigated and led the re-invigoration of juniors development. Working with others she had created the junior committee, behind the scenes the data bank and overall co-ordination. In her time she had also been the SSP co-ordinatior taking hockey into primary schools across West Suffolk. She had hosted two Quicksticks tournaments and festivals for 7-11 year olds. Developed 100's of young people.
Introduced Hockey Hero's for younger children within Pelicans throughout the season. When asked to comment and provide a club perspective, Charlie Lankfer used the word 'Legend' to describe Tracy. As an asset to Pelicans for many years on and off the pitch, scoring goals from defence (a note to PT it is possible). She brought a sense of mischief and fun. A captain, team manager and historically executive committee member for Pelicans.
Her club and our county had benefited from Tracy's enthusiasm and sheer joy. Many players were playing today across the county because of her coaching. Pelican's and Norfolk Hockey were indebted to Tracy's contribution to hockey across Norfolk. Norfolk wanted to say a big thank you for her efforts and award Tracy the County Cup.
Norfolk looked forward to seeing her back out there, coaching, playing for her club and Norfolk Masters next year.
